Sorbitol Solution 70% Food grade
Sorbitol Solution 70% is a clear, colorless to slightly yellowish, viscous
aqueous solution containing 70% w/w of D-sorbitol, a sugar alcohol derived from
glucose. It is widely used in food and beverage formulations as a sweetener,
humectant, and stabilizer. In oral liquids, it serves as a non-cariogenic
sweetening agent and improves the palatability of syrups and suspensions.
Additionally, sorbitol acts as a laxative at higher concentrations due to its
osmotic properties.
